Electric Smart Fortwo

Remember when your dad bought you a car?  Why not return the favor!

Smart Fortwo

If your dad’s like mine, groceries, pharmacy and occasional doctor’s visits make big cars a bit obsolete.  Instead, when not surprise him this father’s day with the new little eco-efficient 2017 Smart Fortwo electric drive coupe or cabriolet.

Heading to Mercedes dealerships this summer the coupe starts at $24,000 and add another $4,000 for the electric cabriolet.

At launch, the smart electric drive cabrio will also be the only electric drive convertible on the US market.

Lots of new stuff with this two little urban cruisers, both have bigger motors, faster speeds and reduced charging times along with cruise control and battery warranty.

Offered in three states of trim, cold climates may welcome the optional heated seats, heated steering wheel, and additional insulation to improve climate control.

An 80 hp electric motor is situated at the rear of the car and transmits power as a constant ration to the driven rear wheels.

The electric drive has an estimated range of approximately 70-80 miles – ideal for emission-free mobility in urban areas, and between trips to Red Box, dad might also like the fast estimated charging time of 2.5 hours when plugged into a 240V wall outlet.

If your dad has retired to a warm state, consider that cabrio with, at a touch of a button, goes from a car with a large sliding sunroof to a full fold flat cabriolet.
