Driven by speed? So is Francesco D’Avola, owner of Team Stradale at the Autobahn in Joliet, Illinois. He and his team, eat, sleep and breathe motor sports, helping both novice and experienced drivers in perfecting their racing technique.

On a cold, wet, Chicago day, I sat down with Francesco D’Avola and talked about his passion as a racing consultant.  I’ve known him, and his family, long enough to call him Frankie, but I don’t; he’s grown up, extremely successful, and passionate about sharing his enthusiasm for speed with the world.
