Phil Saville and I have been friends for many years.  He has owned 6 Ferraris, and 5 Porsches, but he also owns his own Indy Lite car.  The road cars were all fun, he admits, but the real fun is 420 horsepower and 1500 pounds.

Phil Saville

You don’t need a calculator to do the power to weight ratio on an Indy Lite car, and Phil bought and campaigned his own, flying many weekends to Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen, Sebring and Road Atlanta from his home here in Chicago.

Phil’s also one of 3 partners at New York Jewelers on Wabash here in town and while we often talk cars and racing we recently got into a conversation about watches, especially a new line of racing watches by B.R.M.

Not British Racing Motors, B.R.M is a French firm specializing in timepieces that reflect the golden era of sports cars, and I have seen them and their beautiful.

So many of my clients love watches that I’ve asked Phil to check in from time to time regarding watches you and I might like, or stuff of particular interest.  Expect him to be a regular, and feel free to contact him regarding fun on the track or style on your wrist.

NOTE: Do to the timing of my newsletter, few received the invitation to his watch show for June 11th and I share this URL so you can see B.R.M’s racing watches.

Happy motoring,
