1969’s The Italian Job may be the best intro ever…

The Italian Job

The Italian Job

From 1969, The Italian Job opened in spectacular fashion with the world’s fastest production car, at the time.  Snaking through the pass between Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa, accompanied by beautiful music, everything goes wrong, as the Lamborghini Miura is forced to crash, then rolled over a cliff.  Just a shell and rolling chassis were actually destroyed, but the visuals through the mountains put this intro on par with the beginning of Steve McQueen’s Le Mans.

Thanks for sharing that Italian Job movie intro! Just so cool. And deadly. And polite!
