Lotus plays at the Nurburgring

Offering never before seen footage of a Lotus 3-Eleven shouldering aside Porsches at the Nordschleife, the Lotus 3-Eleven takes on the “Green Hell” in a wild, adrenaline fueled 60 seconds.

Professional driver, Marc Basseng, calls the 3-Eleven “hypercar-humbling”.

Carbon composite bodywork allows a dry weight under 2000 pounds and 460 HP launches the 3-Eleven to 60 MPH in 2.9 seconds.

Lotus says it’s the fastest, most focused road car they have produced to ever wear the Lotus badge, and claims the 3-Eleven to be the template for designing Lotus cars of the future.

Will the 3-Eleven be a turning point for Lotus or is something more needed to keep this British firm afloat.
