Disclaimer:  If the standard McLaren is a little too tame AND you have a garage at the track, consider jumping in line for the just announced McLaren Can-Am.

In obvious homage to the Canadian-American Challenge races that McLaren dominated in the late 60’s and 70’s, the car will probably not be road legal anywhere in the world, hence my words above.

630 HP, sticky Pirelli racing slicks, full roll cage…you would think they were serious about making this thing go. 

Like other cars of this ilk (Ferrari FXX), your Sunday drives will be confined to the track, but with only 30 of these due to be built, you’re likely to be the only Can-Am in the pits, which means you can print Denny Hulme on your nomex and not feel like a complete git.  (A bit of bar trivia, Hulme was the first Formula 1 driver to die of natural causes–a heart attack while driving an M3 at the Bathurst 1000 in Australia).
