The Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A. is currently hosting an in-person autobiography of Porsche; how it all started, where it is, and where it’s headed.
A cross-section of 50 cars, from street to racing, document the rise of the tiny manufacturer into what it is today, more importantly, visually answering the question of why many car companies fail, and why Porsche turned tiny engines with interesting shapes into the household name for the sports car.
Perhaps no more explanation is necessary than spending time arms length away from these cars. Owner or not, spend an afternoon at the Petersen Museum and understand the passionate, world-wide following that Porsche has, and why its become a global powerhouse that’s the envy of many manufacturers.
