Laura and I live and work in Chicago AND Los Angeles and great food abounds, but only if you know where to look. So if you, your team or family have a little down time in L.A., reward your self with a wonderful tour given by great people (yes, their friends). Trish and her husband Matt will fill your head full of knowledge and your stomach full of great food.

Welcome to Hollywood! More than 10 million visitors a year cruise Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, a 3-mile stretch along Hollywood Boulevard, showcasing and honoring entertainers in music, television, radio, movies and live performance. In place since 1960, this is one way visitors are guaranteed to “meet their favorite movie star.”
From the Hollywood sign to the Capitol Records Building, the Whiskey A Go Go to the Chateau Marmont, the iconic landmarks in Tinseltown are too numerous to list without forgetting something. From the silver screen to the glossy pages of magazines, these landmarks have been etched in our minds and memories.
As a certified tour guide in the Los Angeles area, and owner of TOURific Escapes, I take great pride in showing off Hollywood’s many wondrous landmarks to visitors and locals alike. I love being a tourist in my own town!
On my 4-hour Hollywood Sites & Bites tour, guests will spend about an hour on foot getting up close and personal with some iconic landmarks. The remaining 3 hours we are chauffeured down Hollywood Boulevard, Melrose Avenue and the Sunset Strip in a cozy, custom 15-passeger van with big windows perfect for snapping photos.
Los Angeles boasts more than 25,000 restaurants and while I haven’t dined at all of them, I have tried my fair share. To make our Hollywood tour really come to life, I decided to combine the best of both: a city tour with stops for food tastings.
Restaurant stops include a popular hot-spot owned by a celebrity chef, an 85-year-old landmark delicatessen, and an ice-cream parlor featuring exotic Persian flavors such as lavender, rosewater and herbal snow. You’ll be introduced to a unique dish from Singapore that’s known as a “hangover cure.” You’ll try a beverage that pairs well with the city’s best pastrami. You’ll also get to see the Willy Wonka of Hollywood…a working chocolate kitchen tucked off of Sunset Boulevard.
Second Tastes Are Encouraged!
If your travel plans include a visit to Los Angeles, and you are interested in a different type of tour adventure, start your trip with TOURific Escapes! Let us show you Hollywood as we know it, through sites AND bites.
Thanks Trish and Matt!
I highly recommend these guys (as does TripAdvisor), and ask them to take you to “the secret place“.
