“Significantly larger than the original AC Cobra, the new AC Cobra GT Roadster revisits the ambitions of a design that traces its roots back to the heyday of British sports cars but catches up on 50 years of evolution”.
AC Cars debuts its AC GT Roadster at ModaMiami in March before client test drives and viewing appointments in the US. Britain’s oldest active vehicle manufacturer shows the iconically styled, highly advanced modern sports car at The Biltmore Hotel luxury show before beginning their client engagement events.
AC Cars is accepting limited new orders as its first two years of production are already sold out and may struggle to find building slots available for new clients.
“AC Cars is back in America, and we’re delighted to meet new customers in Miami. The GT Roadster celebrates heritage and modern engineering, and it’ll receive great attention.” —-David Conza, CEO of AC Cars
While retaining the spirit of the original 1960s AC Cobra, AC Cars invested in ultra-modern technology to create a rewarding and fast sports car that looks backward to its past while satisfying the requirements of today’s driving needs.
A lightweight space frame chassis holds a 5.0-liter V8 engine, with the supercharged V8 S accelerating from 0-60mph in just 3.4 seconds, using either a 6-speed manual or an advanced automatic with paddle shifters. Every AC vehicle receives hundreds of hours of attention to detail, with bespoke designs and unique hand-finished elements, driver usability, and beautiful touches throughout the car. A bit larger than the original Cobras, the longer wheelbase allows a much smoother ride than the 60’s cars.
Also on show at ModaMiami is the AC Ace Classic electric, making its East Coast debut this March. The AC Ace Classic electric joins the GT Roadster in Miami, combining a body that everyone knows, with modern electric drivetrain technologies.
A beautiful blend of historic styling and cutting-edge powertrain design, the new AC Ace Classic electric is a big step for AC Cars. With carbon fiber body and a bespoke 300 bhp TREMEC EV powertrain, it accelerates from 0-62mph in 4.9 secs and has a 72 kWh battery capacity, giving it a +200 mile range.
